Chief Business Development Officer at Operio Group — a $90M+ global manufacturer he founded in 2009. Now pursuing independent NED seats.
Alastair Sanderson is the Chief Business Development Officer of Operio Group, a global manufacturer of tablet, capsule, and ingredient machinery serving the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and food industries. He founded the business that became Operio in 2009, grew it from a start-up investment into an international operation, and led the M&A strategy that consolidated seven brands into a single vertically integrated platform.
He sits on the boards of Operio Group and the WTI, and is actively seeking further independent board service in mid-market manufacturing and industrial businesses.
Outside the work, he has run the Chicago Marathon, climbed Kilimanjaro, driven around the world, cycled the length of Britain, and sailed across the Atlantic. Next: the South Pole and Mount Vinson.
